The General Store has been in its current location for over 20 years and has established a reputation for selection and value in a friendly and helpful environment. John and Leah Flight, owners

John and Leah, originally from England, came to Winter Park on a ski vacation in the early 1990s and fell in love with the friendly and relaxed atmosphere. They had spent many winters working in the Swiss and Austrian Alps, but Winter Park quickly became their favourite place to ski.

They returned for short vacations every winter and also enjoyed a couple of summer visits, soon realising why so many locals rave about the very short summer season.

They had the opportunity to take over the General Store in 2004, and now enjoy living, working and being part of the community in this beautiful small town.

Sally Morrow, manager

Sally has lived locally for over 27 years. She loves the mountains, looking after dogs and horses and going 4-wheelin'. Other hobbies include crafts, shopping, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
